Player Evaluations - 2009

The 2009 season is right around the corner. Players league age 91 and above should participate in evaluations.
All evaluations will be held at Pleasanton Middle School on the black top and last 60 minutes. Players should wear baseball attire including stretch pants, hat, glove, cup and tennis shoes (Bring cleats in case evaluations are done on the grass). To streamline the evaluation process time slots are allocated by the player’s last name. You need to attend only one date and time.  For any  player under 12 years old to be eligible to play on a Major team, it is mandatory that they attend during the Major Evaluation time slot (i.e. if a 9 or 10 year old wants tryout for a Major Team they will need to attend both the Major and Minor evaluations).  Evaluation results are used to draft or place players onto teams. Evaluations are scheduled for:

[1] League age is determined by birth date. A players league age is their age on April 30th of the year of play. For example, a player born on April 22nd 1997 is league age 11 while a player born on May 1st 1997 would be league age 10.

[2]
If your child has had considerable baseball experience and highly skilled you may tryout for a higher division. However, your child will also need to participate in the age appropriate evaluation in the event they are not drafted.

[3] Once a player is drafted to the Majors, they are considered a property player and will remain in Majors until age 13.

[4]6 year olds may advance to Farm if they have played 1 year of T-Ball

[5]All 12 year olds will automatically be placed in Majors, any 12 year old not wishing to play Majors must provide a letter to the Board for review.
