To be an umpire requires:

  • Leadership
  • Accountability
  • Respect
  • Discipline
  • Knowledge of Baseball
  • Ability to Have Fun



We are currently looking for ages 11 above in the Majors Division or higher, that would be interested in umpiring. We are accepting sign-ups until February 1. If you have a son or daughter interested, please let me know. 

We will not be accepting any walk-ins. RSVPs can be made to the league's UIC, Chuck Brown, at  . Email Chuck with the name, email address and years of experience by February 1.

Important Umpire Dates:

  • January 31 (Optional) – D57 Umpire Rally, 7 – 8 p.m. at the Dublin Library
  • February 3 - Mechanics training. Mohr Elementary, MPR 3300

1st and 2nd year umpires check in 8:30. Training from 9:00 - 12:00

3rd year and up umpires Check in 12:30. Training from 1:00 - 3:30

  • February 24 – Rules Training, Mohr Elementary, MPR 3300

Below are the Umpire requirements and guidelines.

Requirements for being considered for Umpiring:

  1. Must be (min) league age 12 or approved by UIC.
  2. <span ar-sa;"="" en-us;="" roman";="" new="" "times="" times="">If 12 or under: You must participate in Little League as a player.
  3. Must complete basic six training clinic. (Applies to new and one year umpires).
  4. Must attend rules meeting. (All ages and levels).
  5. New and one year umpires should have completed at least one Fall Ball game.

Things that you must do to be an umpire and remain an umpire:

     3.  Look Professional
     4.  Show Respect
